Cantagalo subway station was easy walk to the hotel. There was free Wi-Fi available. Copacabana neighborhood was worth exploring...

Closeness to Av. Atlantica.
Room too small, tv didn't work, towels had a funny smell, wifi didn't work, it was close to a favela (when we came, at night, we saw policemen with guns outside the hotel). Definitly wouldn't stay here again...I totally regret it.

Maybe the lack of informations about the hostel facilities at the front desk, but that was all, although the receptionst was pretty ill when we arrived and wasn't really able to talk much

The Location to the Beach was excellent. It was at the bottom of a Favella, but at no time did it feel unsafe. There are Police stationed at the front of hotel at all times (24hrs).
We had to change rooms because the wifi was poor and the tv remote didnt work.Their eftpos wasnt working so we had to pay cash. The door to the balcony did not lock but we were on the 11th floor so the liklyhood of someone breaking in was minimul.

Not much, really... just the location, and also it is just under the favela street and 'perfumes' come to the balcony!
not very comfortable, not very clean, staff not helpful (did not even called a taxi to the airport and wanting to give me a very bad photocopy of the receit!)

I really didn't like anything about Hotel Ducasse. The lobby was really grubby with a terrible odour, the one elevator was broken, it was in an extremely dodge area with poor soundproofing in the rooms so that you could hear the elevator coming up and down as well as any interaction in the adjacent rooms. I had originally booked for 2 nights, and left after 1 as I was concerned about safety and health. I had previously stayed in another hotel of a similar price in Rio which was lovely with a great sense of safety and cleanliness, so thinks its fair to say this is not good value for money at all.

Staff were very good and very helpful.
Hotel is a bit old and run down. Hotel is at the edge of Copacabana and a Favela so there were some "interesting" looking people around, but things were still safe. The hotel is actually only one block from the Ocean, so that was pretty good.

Balcony. Windows that can be opened in the bathroom.
Electric lighting not strong enough inside the room. Noise at night. Air conditioning appliance not well sealed letting the outside noises come into the room.

Right at the entrance to a favela. Easily the most dangerous place in the copacabana area. Lousy hotel. Small and dirty rooms. Spend 10% more and moved to copacabana Rio hotel the next day. We met other people that did the same
